So Proud

Well I am so proud of my wife. She is not only a wonderful wife and mother but she is a brilliant author too. She has written two children's books The Pixie Chronicles, a book for teenagers and adults - Ominous Tales and a Novel - Angel of Mine.

We recently found a review that had been put on Waterstones for Angel of Mine and I am so pleased for her - it is a wonderful review. This is what the person had written:-

"I have read many many books in my time as I am an avid reader and how I judge how good a book is by how much I enjoyed it, how much the book draws me in to the point where I almost feel like you are there with the characters and there are some good books out there that are engrossing and that you can't out down till you have finished as this is one of those books and I would definitely recommend this book as one of those books.I did not know anything about the author but a few female friends and I often recommend books to each other and I was going on holiday for 2 weeks of lying in the sun and decided this was 1 of the books I would take with me, I started to read it on the plane as it was the book I was most looking forward to and when I read the 1st page it made me feel for the character Marie and I could relate to that situation in my own life and most people's lives, the book is very fast paced and doesn't seem to have a lull anywhere in it as there is a few characters and someone is always doing something or having something happen in their lives, after reading on the plane I carried on reading while lying on the beach and when I got to the end I was wanting to read more It also delves in to a world that many of us wonder about and would love to know more about but dare not to ask and it deals with it sensitively and bluntly which is pretty much what the real world is about.I am not sure if the author has drawn from personal experience for this book but it seems very in-depth of the characters emotions and feelings and sometimes it makes you want to dive in and give one of them a cuddle or reach for a tissue.I would be very interested to see if there is any other books by this author that are in the same vein as I found that she writes children's books that also got good reviews but as my children are all grown up so probably a bit old for those books but to end this review I would say take a chance on this lesser known author and I don't think you will be disappointed All in all a very good read!!! Daddys Day

I had a lovely day with my youngest today, everyone else was out so rather than rushing around and doing things I decided to spend quality time with him and it was lovely. He is just so funny, he laughs and smiles at everything. Today especially he was a real joy to be with.

Annoying words

My wife was watching Loose Women and they were talking about the most annoying words in an argument. The most annoying word that my wife uses in an argument is "WHATEVER" she tells me though the most annoying words that I use in an argument is "END OF" - she says that drives her insane.

So DISAPPOINTED

We are so disappointed. We watched Hex - the last episode was so lame and weak. After all that waiting as well - we were well upset.

Hex

Another thing we have been waiting to watch is the last episode of Hex - for some reason it was never sent from the rental company but believe it is now on its way so we can't wait for that!

Quantom of Solace

Finally - I have been waiting to see this for ages. I was very disappointed. Where was Q, where were the gadgets? This could just of been any old action film - it was so not James Bondy!
